PSEA Community Sensitization – Maringué, Caia & Chemba

Dorcas/AMU, in collaboration with UNICEF, has launched a vital community sensitization campaign across Maringué, Caia, and Chemba districts to combat sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA). The initiative includes targeted training sessions and the setup of helpdesks at hygiene kit distribution points, ensuring that vulnerable populations—especially women and girls—have access to safe reporting channels and support.

Over 1,000 hygiene kits were distributed as part of the effort, reinforcing dignity and health while promoting awareness. The campaign emphasizes zero tolerance for SEA, accountability, and the importance of community-led protection mechanisms.

This marks a significant step toward building safer, more informed communities across Sofala Province.
